About

Bible study and research for every human on the planet, and bots.

Mission

The Sword Sharpener is a Bible study and research app. Its goal is to be the best Bible study and research app ever created, and to be open to everyone: every person on the planet, and the bots and AI agents that read or query Scripture.

What that means

  1. Many languages. Scripture and the interface in many languages and translations, including right to left scripts such as Hebrew and Arabic.
  2. Accessible. Built to work with keyboards, screen readers, zoom, and high contrast settings.
  3. Light. Small pages, system fonts, and no heavy images or scripts, so it works on low cost phones and slow connections.
  4. Open texts. Only public domain or openly licensed Bible texts, each with its license shown on the Status page.
  5. Bots welcome. A machine-readable way in for software, with fair rate limits. TODO Not built yet; see For Bots.

Where it stands

This is an early version. The Read page works today; the other sections are marked TODO and will be built in later iterations.
